Remarks:

1.Departmental Elective Credit Recognition Rules

(1) For students admitted from the 107th academic year onward: Courses offered by the three groups and the Continuing Education program can be recognized as departmental electives; however, according to the university regulations, only graduating students may select courses across different programs.

(2) Common courses from the College of Engineering can be recognized as departmental electives only if taught by the following faculty members of our department: "Introduction to Neural Networks (2)", "Exploration of Marine Technology (2)", "Marine Technology and Environment (2)", "Innovation and Entrepreneurship (2)", "Practical Applications of Intelligent Business Operations (3)", "Practical Applications in Emerging Marine Industries (2)", "Introduction to and Applications of Smart Living (3)", "The World of Semiconductors (2)".

2.Free Elective Credit Recognition Rules

(1) Military training and physical education courses cannot be included as free electives.

(2) Courses that have been passed in a previous attempt cannot be included as free electives.

(3) Courses from different programs cannot be selected as free electives.

 

2. English Proficiency Graduation Requirements

1. Day-time program undergraduate students must meet one of the following English proficiency graduation requirements in order to graduate:

(1) Complete the university’s English I and English II courses, and achieve a score of 70 or above on the English Proficiency Test II.
(2) Apply for and pass credit exemption for English I or English II according to the university's "Guidelines for Freshmen Credit Exemption for English I and English II."
(3) Meet the standards for various English proficiency tests*.
(4) For non-native English speakers, obtain certification of English proficiency through application to the Department of English or the Department of English and American Literature.

(5) If the score on the English Proficiency Test II is below 70 or if the student cannot provide documentation of meeting various English proficiency standards, the student may, after review by the Department of Electrical Engineering, take "Advanced English" starting from the third year. Graduation will only be permitted if they pass the course.

* Credits for "Advanced English" will not count towards graduation credits, and the grades will not be included in the semester or cumulative GPA calculations.

Notes:

1. After passing various English proficiency tests, please first register on the "Foreign Language Proficiency Registration and Verification System," and then bring the original transcript to the Department of Electrical Engineering (E629) for certification. Certification must be completed before you can receive your degree certificate.

2. For the first semester, the application should be submitted by January 31, and for the second semester, by September 30.
