Introduction

1.Professor Ching-Chang Wong, Assistant Professor Chih-cheng liu, and Postdoctoral Researcher Yi-Chung Lin from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering guided a robotics development team of 18 students to participate in the "2023 FIRA RoboWorld Cup and Summit" held in Wolfenbüttel, Germany, from July 17 to 21, 2023. The team achieved an impressive result, winning 12 gold and 7 silver medals.

This year, they won multiple championships in the "Humanoid Robot Category (HuroCup)," marking the year with the most gold medals ever won.

2.Associate Professor Chun-Liang Yang from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering guided students to participate in the "2023 DLT Digital Life Technology Symposium" on May 12, 2023, where they presented their paper "Respiratory Rate Detection Based on Thermal Imaging and Its Application," winning the Best Paper Award.

3.Associate Professor Chun-Liang Yang guided student to participate in the "17th Smart Living Technology Symposium" on June 2, 2023, where he presented the paper "Voice Intelligent Refrigerator Ingredient Management System Based on ChatGPT and LINE Bot," winning an award for excellence in "Consumer Electronics Product Development and Design 3C."

4.Professor Chi-Yi Tsai from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering guided students to participate in the "2023 International Conference on System Science and Engineering (ICSSE 2023)" on July 27-28, where they presented their paper "A Real-time Affordance-based Object Pose Estimation Approach for Robotic Grasp Pose Estimation," winning the Best Student Paper Award.
